🛡️ 1. Overview and Commitment

Hide The Annoying ("the Extension", "we", "us") was engineered from the ground up to respect your digital privacy. We believe user content moderation and feed filtering should be transparent, local, and completely free of tracking.

📂 2. Information Handled by the Extension

The Extension handles minimal data strictly required to deliver filtering services:

Locally Stored Settings: Your preferences (active topics, filter mode, sensitivity, allowlist, blocklist, and cached decisions) are stored exclusively on your device in your browser's chrome.storage.local.
API Credentials: Your TypeSafe Jev API key is stored locally in encrypted extension storage. It is transmitted directly to https://api.typesafe.ai via secure HTTPS headers and is never sent to any intermediary server.
Website Content: When visiting X (formerly Twitter), the extension reads the text, display names, and handles of publicly visible tweets within your timeline to classify them via TypeSafe Jev.
Zero Tracking: The Extension does NOT monitor your general browsing history, search queries, passwords, cookies, IP identity, or private direct messages.

🤖 3. Third-Party AI Services

Classification requests are transmitted directly from your client browser to TypeSafe AI (Jev System One) at https://api.typesafe.ai/v1/systemone subject to TypeSafe AI's API terms and security guidelines.

Payloads sent to TypeSafe AI contain solely the candidate post text and username required for topical classification (politics, soccer, finance).

🧹 4. User Control & Data Retention

All cached classification decisions are stored locally in your browser storage. You retain complete control over this data and can purge all evaluations at any moment by clicking "Clear All Cache" in the Extension Popup or Options dashboard.
